I'm Jennifer C., the breeder behind Heart and Soul Jack Russells located in Connecticut. I have been breeding for 30 years. All of my dogs live as part of the family. They have all been health screened. I do everything I can to produce emotionally and psychically sound four-legged family members.

    After many years of owning and judging, I researched and bred my first litter. I raised 5 litters then took a 15-year break to raise my son.

Getting a puppy from Jennifer

Puppy prices include a $100 refundable deposit and between $1,700 - $1,900 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“A deposit is to hold (on the list ) a puppy for you ,is $100 non refundable .50%of purchase price required once selection of puppy is confirmed by contract.The remainder is due on pickup of puppy.”

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • JRTCA Registry, JRT Health Registry, Congenital Deafness (BAER, registered with OFA)

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • Spinocerebellar Ataxia (SCA), Primary Lens Luxation (PLL), Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
