I'm Anthony C., the breeder behind Heartshine Doodles located in Wilmington, NC. How do we create the best pets possible? We start with genetically sound, mild mannered, well socialized parents. Then once the pups arrive we care for and nurture them as a part of our family until they become a part of yours. The right start is everything. Thank you for considering us.
Q. & A. with Anthony
Why did you start breeding?
Six years ago, a friend introduced me to his family’s Golden Retriever breeding program. I was most surprised by all the people they were helping. There was so much love and healing these families experienced because of their new canine companions. I wanted my family to be a part of bringing that kind of joy into people’s lives. So we made the decision to breed and let the adventure begin.
What makes your program special?
Our program is made up of 3 breeding females and no males. We select only the best temperamentally and genetically matched studs from other owners and use artificial insemination. Having only 3 moms, they are able to be part of our family, and raised in our home. No kennels, no accidental breedings, and no breeding dogs in other homes. Our consistent contact and attention is what sets us apart.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies include petite, miniature, and medium sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include cream, apricot, and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
