Meet the breeder

I'm Myranda M., the breeder behind Helper Hounds located in Lincoln, NE. Helper Hounds breeds Redbone Coonhounds for service dogs, sport dogs, hunting dogs, and family companions. We're proud of our dogs. Redbone Coonhounds are our chosen breed, and their unique traits lend them a versatility that we love.

Q. & A. with Myranda

  • Why did you start breeding?

I had been raised around my grandmother who used to breed Rottweilers and learned from her. When I decided to open my own program, I knew a lot but joined several breeder groups and researched online for other answers.
  • What makes your program special?

I'm breeding Redbone Coonhounds primarily for service dogs. I focus first and foremost on temperament and health because those are the most important. I also focus on the natural abilities of my dogs because it's their specific traits that make them good candidates.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
