Meet the breeder

I'm Amanda S., the breeder behind Hemlock Pines Pomsky located in Venus, PA. Our huskies and pomskies are bred for health, temperament, and conformation. They live indoors are Embark, OFA Hips and Elbows tested. We use Early Neurological Stimulation and Puppy Culture protocols. Q. & A. with Amanda

  • Why did you start breeding?

My mother bred AKC Collies and Shelties growing up. I was five years old the first time I bottle fed a puppy after our dam had a c-section and 13 puppies. Before my husband retired from the military, I knew this is what I wanted to do. In 2018, we purchased our first female Pomsky with breeding rights and have been growing since.
  • What makes your program special?

We are small and focus on quality, health, and temperament. We believe that every dog deserves their own family and couch. We have amazing guardian families that work with us. Our puppies are raised in our home with ENS and Puppy Culture. We start potty and crate training. Our puppies come with 4 dewormings, first vaccinations, microchipping, CKC, 1 Month Trupanion Insurance, Contract, & vet exam.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our Pomsky puppies include mini and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Pomsky puppies include white, black, black and white, chocolate, merle, and red and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and guardian homes.

Working with Amanda was great! She kept us updated every week on our chosen puppy with pictures and videos. The meet up was super easy we were able to meet halfway. She also provided us with some toys, a bowl, food and other thing to help start our puppy of with success! Kyra is such a sweet little girl and she immediately slept through the night her first week home. She’s learning so quickly! We love having her in our family and happy we went with Hemlock Pines!

We had the absolute best experience with Hemlock Pines and Amanda. From the very beginning, I felt confident that we had chosen an ethical, loving breeder who truly values her dogs. We were updated weekly with pictures, had FaceTime calls, and Amanda was always there to answer any questions we had along the way. When we brought River home, he was already healthy, well-adjusted, had started potty training, and even knew his name! He is without a doubt the smartest and sweetest dog we’ve ever had, and I know that comes from the love and care he received before joining our family. It was so important to us to find a breeder who prioritizes the well-being of their dogs, and Amanda went above and beyond. River is not only the most beautiful Pomsky I’ve ever seen, but also the kindest and most affectionate. We couldn’t be happier. I would highly recommend Hemlock Pines and Amanda to anyone looking for a Pomsky. The entire process was wonderful, and our family is forever grateful for River!

Amanda was wonderful to work with during the entire process. She was very responsive and took the time to explain everything regarding the puppy. She truly cares for all of the dogs and puppies and ensures they are happy and healthy. Rocky has been with us for 2 weeks and he is such a great puppy. I am still in communication with Amanda and she is so helpful. I’m so grateful to have found her.
