I'm Ruth B., the breeder behind Hexie Hollow Basset Hounds located in Markleton, PA. I am a responsible breeder of Bassets, who health tests and hike with my hounds. I’m picky about where the puppies go to. We cherish each of our dogs and puppies, and we do everything we can to make sure that they get the best lives possible. That includes everything from choosing healthy parents with good temperaments, to proper socialization and daily care, to placing them in loving homes with wonderful families. We strive to provide each of our puppies and their families with a truly positive experience!

Why did you start breeding?
I’ve been obsessed with puppies and breeding for over 20 years but I just started breeding in 2017. I found the perfect breed for me and I have no regrets! I adore them and I’ve finally found something I feel truly meant to do.What makes your program special?
My Bassets are what make my program special -- It’s them, not me! I don’t breed unhealthy Bassets and I make sure my Bassets' lives are about more than making puppies. I also make sure my kiddos go to folks who intend to stay in touch with me. Please be prepared to tell me about yourself and your family/home!Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
Getting a puppy from Ruth
Ruth has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices include a $200 refundable deposit and between $1,300 - $1,800 final payment, before taxes & fees.
“The price includes AKC registration application, health guarantee, vet check, microchip, and all age appropriate vaccinations and dewormings. The deposit IS refundable until pick up.”

Ruth may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.
