I'm Carey B., the breeder behind Hideaway Farm located in Fort Gay, WV. We are proud to offer our beautiful Bernese puppies to loving homes! Our dogs are healthy and have great temperaments. The parents have been health tested and have good OFA’s. We just adore this breed and can't wait to share our love for them with you! We are passionate breeders and are dedicated to maintaining responsible breeding practices. We do all that we can to make sure our pups get the best care and go to the best homes!

Getting a puppy from Carey
Carey has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices include a $100 non-refundable deposit and between $1,700 - $2,400 final payment, before taxes & fees.
“This includes AKC registration, vaccinations, deworming, microchip and puppy packet. $1800/male or $2500/female. A $100 deposit is due to ensure the holding of your puppy. The deposit isn’t due until the puppies are born.”
Contract & health guarantee
Carey may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1B), Bernese Mountain Dog Type, DNA Profile
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
