I'm Jay & Erin B., the breeder behind High Desert Family Doodles located in Antelope, OR. We understand the tremendous impact a wonderful dog can have on a home, and we want to help make that happen. We're a boutique breeder offering premiere Goldendoodle puppies that make the ideal family companions. As part of Good Dog and GANA, our sires and dams must pass extensive health-testing to ensure that we are doing all we can to avoid preventable defects. We also utilize Puppy Culture and Avidog curriculums to help our puppies flourish.
We love our dogs and what we do, and we strive to make each puppy a great contribution to its forever home!
Q. & A. with Jay & Erin
Why did you start breeding?
We've experienced a deep call to be part of the movement to help families connect with a great puppy, because so much GOOD can come from this. This breed is a joy be around, and we strive to provide other families with healthy, quality pets so that they, too, can enjoy sharing their lives with a Goldendoodle!
What makes your program special?
We strive for quality and excellence with everything that we do. Holding ourselves to high standards is paramount to the well-being of our dogs and to the integrity of our program. We both meet the highest bars of health-testing set by Good Dog and GANA, because we hold ourselves to a high standard. Each puppy is bred, hand-raised, and loved indoors to ensure health, happiness, and harmony at the start of its life. We want nothing more than to see each and every one of our dogs and puppies shine!
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies include miniature, medium, and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

High desert family doodles provided my family with the most extraordinary puppy and a wonderful, supported experience every step of the way. This was my first time working with a breeder and I did a lot of research to find an ethical breeder and HDFD is top notch. They take responsibility for the dog for the dog’s whole life, which was a core criteria for us. Their health records and attention to detail for both the puppy health and dog-mama health is excellent. Their core curriculum with the Empowered Breeder program, training and de-sensitizing and socializing puppies from the start, was vital in creating such a balanced and well-rounded pup. We have continued the Empowered Puppy program for consistency at home and the impact is clear. Our puppy came to us at 8 weeks basically potty trained, crate trained, able to “sit to say please,” comfortable with handling and with wearing a collar, confident in exploring new situations, and ready to be a family dog from day one. At our first independent vet appointment the veterinarian said our puppy was “perfect.” We think so as well. Thanks High Desert Family Doodles for making our puppy dreams come true!
