I'm Caity L., the breeder behind HighBrassGunDogs located in New Mexico. Our English Cocker Spaniels are Field Bred/Working type! We offer healthy, happy, smart puppies who will excel in any adventure with their new family! We're passionate about these dogs & are careful to breed and raise our pups with only the best policies. Our puppies are high energy!

  • Why did you start breeding?

    Our love for the breed and the want to continue the bloodlines we desire in an all-around family dog. Our young children are very involved in our dog training program. We love our dogs because they are just the right size, smart, and a very rewarding breed to train. This breed is very smart and we're doing our best to preserve the traits and temperaments we need for generations to come.

  • What makes your program special?

    Our puppies are raised inside our home where we can make sure each one is thriving and living in a clean and healthy environment. We have put forth the effort to have each of our adult dogs a part of our family and live a wonderful life as normal as possible. Our dogs live inside our home as well as a lot of room to run, play, and be a dog! We love the contagious high energy these dogs provide!

Getting a puppy from Caity

Caity has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Caity partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“We want our puppies to go to their forever homes and we want you to be sure you are ready for these bundles of joy! Puppies take time, patience and training. Temperaments will vary from puppy to puppy and litter to litter. We can help find the pup for you! ”

Price

Puppy prices include a $550 deposit and between $1,950 - $2,950 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Our puppies come with limited AKC Registration (no breeding rights), age appropriate vaccinations, de-worming, micro-chipped (pre-paid), and a great start before heading to their new homes! Deposit holds your puppy until pickup. Puppy picks go in order of deposits if pups are recently born or not yet born. We ask for your patience during this process. Your deposit is 50% refundable before reserving your puppy.”

Contract & health guarantee

Caity may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. If Caity offers a contract or guarantee, the details will be personalized by them. If you have any questions or want to know more, don't hesitate to reach out to Caity directly.

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

    We had a great experience with Caity and High Brass Gun Dogs. Caity was so helpful, informative, and communicative throughout the whole process. She regularly sent us pictures and videos of Basil and always took the time to explain things and answer our questions.
