Meet the breeder

I'm Naomi M., the breeder behind Highland Meadows located in Stone Creek, OH. We raise Bernese Mountain Dogs on a 22 acre farm where they freely roam. Our Corgis live locally with our married children. Continually striving to improve the breed our Berners and Corgis both come from Champion European lineage. We along with our married children spend lots of time caring for our Corgis and Berners and hope to share the joy we have found in owning them. We plan every litter with health and temperament in mind. Health testing for Berners and Corgis is very important to us.

Q. & A. with Naomi

  • Why did you start breeding?

My studies and love of Bernese Mountain Dogs along with the Corgis has brought me here. There is a need of well-bred, healthy Berners and Corgis as companions and my desire is to share the joy of owning them. We spend a lot of time planning litters that have had proper health screenings.
  • What makes your program special?

What makes our program special is the time I spend with our Berners and Corgis, both the adults and the puppies. They are very well socialized. We go for long walks with off leash, they always stay close to my side. We are bonded. Bonding is such an important part in owning a well trained, socialized dog.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Bernese Mountain Dog puppies are black rust and white. Pembroke Welsh Corgi puppies include red, sable, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and guardian homes.

Naomi was wonderful to work with when selecting and bringing home our Cyrus. She clearly cared deeply for the mom/babies well being and was extremely informative during the whole process. Our big boy has been a wonderful addition to our family and would recommend anyone interested in a Berner to reach out to Highland Meadows.

Naomi was wonderful to work with—she answered all of my questions and was incredibly responsive throughout the process. I also had the pleasure of communicating with her daughter-in-law, Ashley, who kept me updated with pictures. Thank you both for our beautiful Stella!

Naomi was fantastic to work with. She was informative and answered all my questions through out the process. The pictures and videos of the puppies growing up makes the time go by fast. My little girl Winter is beautiful and a very happy puppy and am so thrilled to have found her. Thanks again to Naomi and Highland Meadows.

We were initially hesitant to use Good Dog since we always personally knew the breeders we used, but everything went incredibly smoothly with Naomi. She kept us informed throughout the process, and now our pup, originally Socrates is six months old, healthy, and thriving. His temperament is amazing, and he immediately bonded with our other dog, who was grieving the loss of her best friend. Now they’re inseparable. We’re absolutely in love with him. Thank you, Naomi!

Naomi was great to work with. Before we committed to Rosie (luna) I had many questions and she was always quick to answer. We love our Rosie and can tell she was well loved before coming to us.

Naomi was very easy to work with. She answered all of my questions and was very quick in her communications. If she wasn’t able to provide an update or photo request right away she would say so and then promptly follow up as soon as she said she would. She was also very accommodating in scheduling my day of pick up (I live several hours away). She was informative and super helpful in helping me to select which pup I would bring home. If you are looking for a Bernese puppy I definitely recommend this breeder. 10 out of 10
