Meet the breeder

I'm Donna B., the breeder behind Hirten Bray Hugel located in Richland, NY. We do the best we can to ensure our breedings will provide healthy, strong, intelligent puppies. We health test our breeding dogs for their hip and elbow quality and only breed dogs that are DM clear.

Q. & A. with Donna

  • Why did you start breeding?

I was tired of seeing poorly bred GSDs flooding the American markets. I decided to do something about it and try to salvage what the breed was developed to be. All my breeding stock are imported dogs from Europe and health tested.
  • What makes your program special?

I think that we go above and beyond to ensure that our dogs are happy, healthy and live comfortably in our kennel and home.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies have stock coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include sable, black, and bi-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
