I'm Lisa W., the breeder behind Hitchcock Bouviers located in Boardman, OH. I breed quality Bouviers. All of my dogs are health tested with healthy lines in their pedigrees. I breed for health, beauty, and temperament. I love my dogs and take finding each puppy a home that will love them just as much as I do.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    Began my journey by showing dogs. Breeding was suggested by my breeder and mentor. It didn't take much to convince me!
  • What makes your program special?

    I’m selective with the pedigrees I use. I health check for all major issues associated with the Bouvier breed.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include fawn and brindle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Lisa

Puppy prices include a $500 refundable deposit and $2,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Price includes first vaccinations, microchipped, AKC registration, started on potty training and socialization, copy of pedigree, tails docked if requested, dew claws removed, 2 year health guarantee against glaucoma, hip dysplasia, heart disease, and thyroid. Lifetime support. A $500 deposit is required to hold your puppy. It is refundable if you should change your mind Until time of Whelp.”

Lisa may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation , Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Temperament Test, Brucellosis, Canine Good Citizen (CGC)

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • DNA Profile

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
