I'm Lindsey S., the breeder behind Honey Moon Hounds located in Camden, OH. We are a small preservationist breeder. Our hounds are bred with a focus on health, temperament, ability, and conformation. We want to share our special hounds with loving families who cherish their dogs as much as we do.
Q. & A. with Lindsey
Why did you start breeding?
When I was a child growing up in rural Virginia my mother took a job cleaning homes and I met the most lovely high quality purebreds in many of the homes and estates. I would spend my free time pouring over the AKC Gazette and knowing that one day I wanted to breed handle train groom and compete with the best. So every choice I have made since then has brought me here.
What makes your program special?
I have spent my entire life in the constant study of the dog. I approach my dogs from a holistic perspective. I know that they have many needs from enrichment to nutrition to time and more. I am conscientious that each dog is different in those needs. I focus on the happiness health and condition of my dogs with a discerning and educated mind and a dedicated and honest heart.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
