I'm Amy R., the breeder behind Hoosier Basset Hounds located in Portland, IN. Raising puppies has been so much fun, although we take our role in raising them seriously. Breeding has helped us share the joy of our dogs with other families and individuals.

Why did you start breeding?
We originally started with Lucy and our OG male Ricky. Our hearts were broke about a year ago when we lost Ricky due to complications to kidney stone surgery. Thankfully we were able to get 2 of his daughters (Dolly and Jane). They are very special to us!What makes your program special?
Our bassets are very looked after and receive the best care possible. They are part of our family and are loved very much!Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
Getting a puppy from Amy
Amy has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices include a $300 non-refundable deposit and $700 final payment, before taxes & fees.

This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.
