I'm Lacey G., the breeder behind Hopper Farms located in Oak Run, CA. Our dogs are bred for health, temperament, and ability. We strive to produce beautiful and versatile beloved companions. Each of our dogs has brought so much happiness to us throughout their lives. We want to do our part to produce wonderful, healthy dogs that can bring other people joy as well, and we strive to provide each of our puppies with loving homes where they can live happy lives.
We start clicker training our puppies at 4 weeks old. They will know what the clicker is and that it brings yummies every time they hear it. All puppies will have the understanding of sit, come, down and eye contact. We provide the foundation for you to grow with.
All puppies are registered with ASDR.
Q. & A. with Lacey
Why did you start breeding?
We lost our beloved mix rescue suddenly. My dad was telling me stories about one of his favorite dogs... Spur. Spur was a Black Tri and stunning! With a empty house and a empty heart my dad bought my family our first Aussie Cooper. He then encouraged us to buy a female and possibly breed the two since we already have the sheep farm and knowledge of clicker training our dogs. So, we did!
I just recently lost my dad. If it wasn't for him, I would not have known the love and enjoyment the Aussie breed has brought to our family.
What makes your program special?
We breed for a reason. To keep the history of the breed continuing on, but with looks! We start all of our puppies with clicker training. Every puppy will have the foundation already there for their new families to continue their life together reaching multiple goals.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
