I'm Jennifer H., the breeder behind Horsetooth Whippets located in Colorado. We raise our litters in our home, underfoot with our cats and other pets (fish, reptiles). They travel to work (vet clinic & dog training facility) with us often, as well - gaining exposure to new people, new dogs, and many sights, smells, and sounds.

About Brie
Brie is our keeper girl from our 2019 “Power of Cheese” Litter (Johnson X Lychee) - and just like her mom, she is a little ray of sunshine in our home and in our lives. Brie is a smart, sensitive, outgoing girl with a lovely personality to go along with her great looks. She earned her first Rally title easily at just a year old, and followed it up with a CGC and TKN with the same ease. She gets along with everyone, but early on showed a fondness for senior dogs. She had a special connection with her late grandpa, Timmy, before he passed; and even as a very young, boisterous pup, she would calm down and gently cuddle with him in his last months with us. Brie loves toys! She understands exactly what any specific toy is for, and loves to fetch, tug, and even just run around shaking any toy you give her. Like her dad, Johnson, Brie is a snuggler. When you scratch her neck, behind her ears, she sighs, and squints up her eyes in absolute ecstasy. Brie is also a ‘talker’…with a wide range of vocalizations, which she uses mostly just to get a laugh out of her humans. Overall, Brie is an easy girl to live with - her bright, perky energy always makes us smile, and her love of playing and cuddling are winning traits in any dog.

About Baxter
Baxter came to us by way of our whippet mentor and friend, R. Jolene Davis of Whisperun Whippets. We can't thank Jolene enough for trusting us with this exceptional boy. Baxter is a character! He has inserted himself into our pack seamlessly, and we have to remind ourselves he wasn't bred and born right here, as he's so comfortable with his new packmates and they are just as comfortable with him, treating him like he he's always been with us. Baxter is a smart guy, who picks up on routines very quickly, and likes to show off his smarts by doing the same things the older dogs are doing. He loves his young whippet friends, Scarlet & Lyla, but his favorite dog ever was our late great matriarch whippet, Penelope. Baxter tried to copy everything Penelope did - drinking when she drank, eating when she ate, playing with her, sleeping with her, and wagging his little white-tipped tail the whole time - he just really loved our granny Penelope, and we couldn’t have had a better dog to train a new pup than Princess P! Baxter's unique markings, smooth movement, well-balanced conformation, impressive pedigree, and gorgeous shiny black coat have us excited to see how he matures and does in the rings - both conformation and obedience, and in the field.
