I'm Amy S., the breeder behind Hound Ridge Meadows located in Lexington, KY. My pups are raised to be fantastic family pets. They have dewclaws removed, wormed multiple times, first shots and vet checked. Each pup has a unique personality and will bring such joy to any home! Why did you start breeding?
Well after my boys left home and i found myself on my own again i got a basset hound and named her Princess Mia. She was such a sweet, funny little pup and brought so much comfort and joy into my life. I had so many people ask if i thought about breeding her. Mia is how all the madness began. It is hard work and non stop but i would have it no other way.What makes your program special?
My dogs! My amazing vet and lots of attention to mommas and babies alike! I could not do this without my an amazing support system. Clay that has the stud basset and an amazing program has guided me and helped me all hours of the day. In return it has allowed me to pass that along to others. I try to make myself available to my buyers day or night if they need me even after taking the pup home.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include lemon and white, blue tan and white, mahogany and white, and black brown and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Puppy prices include a $200 non-refundable deposit and between $1,200 - $1,400 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“All pups are AKC registered, dewclaws removed, wormed multiple times, vet checked, UTD on vaccinations and very well socialized! All pups are 1200. Return buyers do receive a discount. If holding pups i require a 200$ deposit.”

Amy was so easy to work with! She was caring and very concerned for the conditions that he puppies were to meet and made sure to meet with and vet us virtually. She answered our every concern and she met ours equally. By the time we were ready to go forward our little guy had become too heavy to fly in cabin so we opted for over the road transport. Again Amy made it very clear that if she wasn’t happy or felt uncomfortable with the transporter or the vehicle she could not/would not send him and that made it clear to us how much she cared and her level of concern. I have already recommended her to a few people and let them know of our good experience with Amy. :)
