We had an excellent experience! Kim was quick to respond, sent photos and videos and answered all of our questions. We brought Saint home almost a month ago and as soon as we brought him home he was so well behaved. It is clear that Kim had put a lot of effort to make sure the puppies were well acclimated and desensitized. He loved being handled and has been so well behaved. Kim provided tons of details to help streamline the process of us taking him home, and was available even after to continue to help.

Charlie, female Golden from Freedom and Rip's recent litter, now 9 weeks old, is the joy of my life. Howard's Retrievers is the best Breeder I have ever known. Charlie is my 4th Golden, and over the years I have researched many breeders in the VA and NC area Kim treats every puppy as her own, caring for them, knowing them, engaging with them, so that when I brought Charlie home, she was healthy and already had stimulating devopmental activities that put her far ahead of my other Goldens whom I had brought home at 9 weeks of age. Kim also puts a binder together that should win some sort of award. It has everything you need, as well as suggestions and resources that you might want, organized and labeled. The puppies come home with a stuffed puppy and blanket that smells like mama and their siblings. Kim follows up several times to see how things are going. Kim also meets with the families on FB 2 or 3 times, so that we can see our furry babies and get to know them before they come home. So by the time you pick up your new puppy, you feel like you know Kim well, and you can see her in action. Kim is not just running a business; she provides a service for all those who believe that our Goldens are integral and vital members of our families. I would give Howard's Retrievers 5 stars, but perhaps it would be more appropriate to award them 5 hearts.

We've had our puppy for 7 days now and I am completely in love - and so much of that is thanks to Kim/Howard Retrievers. From the very first message she was responsive, and easy to communicate with. She clearly adores every single one of her puppies, and that care really shows. All the information we needed was shared openly and willingly, which made the whole experience feel relaxed and trustworthy. We couldn't be happier, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Kim to anyone looking for a wonderful breeder.

We had a fantastic experience with Kim from Howard's Retrievers. Right from our very first contact Kim was professional and responsive. We enjoyed how she sent pictures with updates on George (our new fur baby) and conducted multiple Facebook live streams so we could see him in real time. When we picked George up at 8 weeks old we could tell he was well cared for in a loving and responsible way. We were pleasantly surprised with a detailed notebook that Kim put together with all the information we could need regarding George and puppy care. He transitioned quite easily to our home and was already on his way to being potty trained and sleeping through the night. Today at the vet he received a clean bill of health. George is a sweet baby and has snuggled his way into our hearts. We are so thankful he is a part of our family now. We are grateful to Kim from Howard's Retrievers for making this possible. We highly recommend her if you are looking for a golden retriever.
