I'm Pat K., the breeder behind HylanShotru Lhasa Apso located in Knightsen, CA. We breed to both help ensure the future of the breed and to improve upon our dogs' unique Heritage with each generation. We've been breeding since 1976 and are knowledgable and passionate about Lhasa Apsos . We hold ourselves to high standards that are paramount to the well-being of all our dogs and our Breeding program.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I bred my first litter with the help of several great show breeders of the past as my mentors in 1976 a good student I produced my first homebred Champion! I was totally in love with the breed and very competitive - today we with lower numbers of good Breeders we see the important of and are active in our Breed club Sustaining Project .
  • What makes your program special?

    We have owned bred and exhibited Lhasa Apso since 1976 -we are very passionate about Preservation in this breed. Type Health and good temperament are of prime important to us. We have bred over 300 AKC champions including many Best in Show , National Speciality and Westminster Kennel Club winners . We have bred many of the Top Producing sires and dams in the history of this breed .
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Pat

Pat has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Puppy prices include a $250 non-refundable deposit and between $1,750 - $2,250 final payment, before taxes & fees.
