Meet the breeder

I'm Violet C., the breeder behind Indiana Bordoodles located in Indianapolis, IN. We are a very small scale in home breeder working to raise exceptional Bordoodle puppies! Dogs always make life so much better! We live on a small 8 acre farm that hosts a variety of animals, but our truest animal love is the DOG! In the dog we see that God has endowed us with the most unique and special animal companion! After breeding our family poodle and border collie, we fell in love with the Bordoodle! Bordoodles are the most intelligent, noble, and true animal companion you could dream of!

Q. & A. with Violet

  • Why did you start breeding?

We first bred our family's standard poodle and border collie in 2019 simply because we loved our dogs! Several family members adopted from our litter and we sold the remaining pups. They are the most fantastic, noble, smart, and sweet dogs! We bred them again the following year and when two of our clients from the first litter returned for a second puppy, we knew we were on to something amazing!
  • What makes your program special?

Our pups are raised inside our home with constant attention from our large family. Parents are health tested and bred specifically because of their stellar personalities. We implement early neurological stimulation (ENS), begin potty training, expose our pups to constant sound and activity, have them vet checked, wormed, and vaccinated before they are paired with their new family.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include white and black and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Seems a bit soon to do a review on a new life and our pairing. But we are doing our best to grow into habits. She is a very cool pup. She cried on the ride home and I was wondering how she would do in the semi truck. A bit rocky at first. But she quickly mastered the ride. I do the best I can to give her food water and breaks. I was very aware of her level of stress with everything being absolutely new. She has come along well.

Hi there!! I hope you all have been well. Here’s a little update on Mr. Forrest as his 6 month celebration approaches! Forrest is such a sweetheart heart. His favorites include: snuggles, TREATS (especially milk bones and spinach), going to the dog park, meeting new people, digging holes, eating dirt, playing soccer, sunbathing and face planting into the snow (luckily for him, there’s been SOOOO much snow over here in Minnesota🥶)! Forrest is such a smart little man. He fits into my life and heart perfectly. I am endlessly grateful for you all. Forrest wouldn’t be the perfect boy he is without your hard work, dedication, and love. Every moment you put into him and his siblings shows everyday. Potty training was a BREEZE — he had one accident on the first day home and then no more after that (doggy Einstein!!!). He is eager to learn and even more eager to please! From Forrest and me, thank you so much! Have a Merry, merry Christmas and a blessed New Year! 🩷
