Meet the breeder

I'm Oksana S., the breeder behind Wheaten Gems located in Las Vegas, NV. All our dogs have multiple International champions in their pedigree, they have Irish, German, Swedish, Russian, Slovenian and Czechoslovakian bloodlines and are imported from well-known European kennels. They are registered with FCI (International Canine Federation) and AKC and have been shown at dog shows getting points for championship. AKC full registration rights are available. Both parents were DNA-health tested and certified by German lab for PLN (protein loosing nephropathy), DM (degenerative myelopathy), RBP4 (microphthalmia ), HUU (hyperuricosuria), PxD (paroxysmal dyskinesia), and are clear. My dogs have OFA hip evaluations as "EXELLENT" and “GOOD “ and eyes evaluations as "NORMAL". Vet care is done at Vet Specialist Clinic. Vet Health Certificates will be provided, NOTE: Vet Certificates from certified veterinarians do not GUARANTEE puppies are free from any genetic diseases - they need the above DNA test results. To learn about wheatens health issues, read "Benchmarks" - June 2022, pages: 44-47 https://scwtca.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/bm202206.pdf . Our Puppies get all shots, worming, and dewclaws removed if needed. New owner gets a puppy folder with care recommendations and directions, a bag of food, and a toy with their littermates' scent.

I’m thrilled to have found our new family member, Bruce, from Oksana from Irish Wheatens in Las Vegas. I’m currently writing this in my backyard with Bruce contentedly laying under my chair. I spent weeks reaching out to breeders and researching breeders before deciding to go with Oksana. Oksana has done all the appropriate genetic testing that should be done for this breed. She also included the inbreeding coefficient of the parents which is not something I had seen from other breeders. Bruce is a very sweet and calm boy. Our family completely adores him. I’ve started some basic clicker training with him and he’s picked up on it so quickly. I would not hesitate to recommend getting a puppy from Oksana. If our family ever wants to add another dog to our pack, she will be the first person I reach out. She is very knowledgable about the breed and also wants us to reach out if we ever have any issues so she can help. She truly cares about the breed as a whole and about finding each of her puppies a happy, forever home. And she is happy to lend advice throughout Bruce’s life. She was very responsive throughout the entire process and answered all of my questions right away. I’m so happy to have gone with her and that we now have Bruce!
