Meet the breeder
I'm Lori C., the breeder behind Ivanhoe Borzoi located in Clinton, TN. We are striving to be excellent breeders focusing on the overall health, movement, conformation, and temperament of the pups we produce. Our dogs really are a family affair and are a huge part of our lives. We enjoy participating in conformation events but have also played at lure course and agility. We have pups doing very well in Lure Couse and ranked in the top ten Fast CAT as well as other sports and titles! Many of our pups are also doing well as therapy and service dogs. We are thankful to the many wonderful people sharing our pups and giving them the chance to prove themselves! We strive to breed well rounded dogs and socialize them in hopes of preparing them to adjust easily to different lifestyles.

Why did you start breeding?
I was raised in the dog world and was mentored in conformation in my teens by a local lady who took me and my sister under her wing. Though she knew nothing about sighthounds she directed me to helpful people and resources, and helped me with the show process and learning about good breeding practices.What makes your program special?
I think what sets us apart in Borzoi is all the hands on deck approach. At Ivanhoe Borzoi it's a family affair! We homeschool the children and they are actively involved with the pups from birth. I think children are the best organic socializers! This team effort gives the pups many different experiences safely from home and helps raise up well-rounded and confident pups.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Whippet puppies include black and fawn. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

“This price includes a health guarantee, puppy vaccines and deworming, AKC registration, and socialization. I also offer continued help with diet, training, and grooming advice and support. Deposits are only taken after pups are born and the age for reserving a pup will vary every litter. Please do not send a deposit without calling or texting!”

Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
