Q. & A. with Charles and Sally
Why did you start breeding?
We started breeding these wonderful little terriers after we learned about their history and heritage. We especially appreciated the JRTCA and it’s unique Registry which is second to none in the breeding world. Showing and working these terriers is contagious, challenging and rewarding. The fellowship with other terrier enthusiasts has broadened our knowledge and family of friends & relationships
What makes your program special?
I am a Retired licensed veterinarian . My experience as a veterinarian spans over 51 years and have built and managed 3 different AAHA accredited hospitals. I still maintain my license to practice, attend CE annually and assist locally as Relief if needed. We health-test all of our breeding dogs for the best health of our puppies, and take great care to prepare them for their new loving homes.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include tri-color and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

We are so fortunate to have found a wonderful breeder / veterinarian Charles. There wasn’t a litter at the time so he stayed in touch with us until finally we got the news that a female was pregnant and the litter would be born in late November. As it turned out the pups were born on Thanksgiving day. Charles sent pictures, and updates. He quickly responded to all of questions. We finally got our chance to visit his beautiful farm and select our adorable female, Lily. She about 3 months old now and has brought us so much joy. We still send pictures and updates. Most importantly Charles told us if we have any questions or concerns feel free to get in touch anytime.

Charles was such a pleasure to work with throughout this whole process. Extremely responsive and informative! We couldn’t have gotten luckier to have our puppy, Fox, come from such a loving breeder/ family. You know you’re in great hands with Charles and Sally as your breeders and they take raising their JRTs seriously and are only willing to give their puppies the best homes!
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
