Q. & A. with Jane

  • Why did you start breeding?

I got into breeding Sheepadoodles because of my love for their loyal personalities, intelligence, and gentle nature. After raising my own Sheepadoodle and seeing how wonderful the breed is with families, I became passionate about responsibly raising happy, healthy puppies in a loving home environment where they receive plenty of care, attention, and socialization.
  • What makes your program special?

What makes my breeding program special is the love and attention each Sheepadoodle puppy receives from day one. I focus only on Sheepadoodles, allowing me to truly understand the breed’s temperament, health, and personality. My puppies are raised in my home, well-socialized, and treated like family to ensure they grow into happy, confident companions.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies are medium size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are black and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Jane

Jane has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Jane partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“When I match a buyer with a puppy, I focus on finding the best fit between the puppy’s temperament and the buyer’s lifestyle rather than simply letting buyers choose based on appearance or color. I start by learning about the buyer through a conversation or questionnaire, where I ask about their home environment, activity level, experience with dogs, daily schedule, and what they hope for in a companion. Next, I spend time observing each puppy’s personality as it develops. I look at traits like energy level, confidence, sociability, independence, and how each puppy responds to people, handling, and new situations. Over time, I get a clear sense of which puppies are more outgoing, which are more relaxed, and which may need a more experienced or active home. Once I have a good understanding of both the litter and the buyer, I make recommendations based on compatibility. My goal is to place each puppy in a home where their temperament will thrive and where the buyer’s expectations are realistic for that puppy’s personality and needs. I guide the process rather than relying on a first-come or appearance-based selection, because long-term success matters more than initial preference. Before final placement, I confirm the match with the buyer, answer questions, and make sure they feel confident and informed about the puppy they’re choosing.”
