I'm Jen L., the breeder behind Jen Whirlaway Rhodesian Ridgebacks located in Bedford, VA. Every breeder's dream is to breed beautiful dogs that people recognize and identify. The goal is consistency. We do everything we can to achieve this. This goal cannot be uncoupled from the goal of producing dogs with excellent, sound temperaments and dogs that are healthy, and long-lived.
Q. & A. with Jen
Why did you start breeding?
We wanted to do our part to better the breed.
What makes your program special?
We breed 1 or 2 times a year and our dogs are sold mostly to families. We must therefore make every effort to breed dogs that have excellent temperaments and are easy to live with. We ask that you come for a visit so we can explore whether the Ridgeback is indeed right for your family. Please be aware of our policies. We cannot guarantee that you will get a puppy. We cannot control litter size, even when we have ultrasounds and x rays complete. Still born puppies are not unusual. Our goal is to match families with puppies that suit lifestyles. We also want our puppies to achieve their maximum potential so all those considerations come into effect when we make those decisions. Thank you for understanding
Where do your breeding dogs live?
