I'm Jim A., the breeder behind Jim Anderson located in West Point, IA. Our dogs are carefully bred for beauty AND great temperament, making them the perfect dog for families with or without children. They are F1b generation, so they will shed very little, if at all. Our puppies are raised in our home, so they are used to normal household noises and activities. Health testing gives assurance that issues common in the breed will not be a concern. Since we are retired, we are able to spend lots of time with the puppies and mom is first and foremost our beloved pet!

Why did you start breeding?
We have had a few moms over the years, and are currently down to one breeding mom and one baby (6 months old), plus our retired moms. We truly enjoy having a litter or 2 per year. We do not own a male but know several other reputable breeders in our area whose males we use. We have a real passion for the breed and strive to raise the healthiest, happiest pups possible.What makes your program special?
We are obviously a very small breeder. We do this because we love the dogs and genuinely enjoy having the puppies in our home. We also enjoy meeting the many new owners over the years and are especially appreciative to receive updates and pictures long after the pups go home.What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies include miniature and medium sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Price
“Our price includes all age appropriate vaccines and de-worming, dewclaws removed, vet health checks, microchip and a one year health guarantee. When you’ve chosen a particular puppy, and we agree that the puppy will be a good fit for your family, the $300 deposit is paid to hold the puppy until he/she is ready to go home.”

About Scarlett
Scarlett is a female Goldendoodle about 6 years old. Carefully selected as a great representative of her breed, Jim decided to make her part of their program. Jim has passed Good Dog’s screening process, which involved a review of their breeding practices, environment, and the mental and physical health of their dogs.

Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
