Q. & A. with Amber

  • Why did you start breeding?

The dedication and impact of the foundation and preservation breeders before me inspired my path into breeding, training, and handling at a young age. Today, my focus is producing genetic masterpieces- stable, intelligent, purpose-bred companions while preserving the authentic old school structure, temperament, workability, mind, instinct and bonding nature of this remarkable breed.
  • What makes your program special?

Built on generations of preservation breeders and decades immersed in canine structure, behavior, and working ability, my program is centered on producing clear-minded, capable companions with true purpose and stability. By combining proven bloodlines with modern genetic insight, health testing, and advanced breeding technologies, I strive to preserve and improve what makes this breed exceptional.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Belgian Malinois puppies include cream sable, liver, red sable, red, mahogany, black, fawn, and brindle. xDutch Shepherd puppies include red sable, red, mahogany, gold brindle, black, and brindle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Amber was fantastic to work with from start to finish. She was incredibly responsive throughout the whole process and helped me get pick of the litter. She made everything effortless — clear communication, no stress, no guesswork. She's extremely knowledgeable about the breed and it's obvious she genuinely cares about every one of her pups. Even almost a year later, she's still quick to respond whenever I have questions or concerns. I couldn't recommend her more highly.

Amber has spent years immersed in the Belgian Malinois world, and that hands-on experience is evident in the quality and consistency of her breeding program. She has earned a strong reputation as a breeder of Belgian Malinois, known for her deep understanding of the breed’s working drive, intelligence, and structure. She prioritizes health testing—screening for hip and elbow dysplasia, and other conditions common to the breed—well before ever considering a litter, and she breeds for sound temperament and proper working ability rather than just looks. Her Malinois are raised with early socialization and exposure to different environments, which gives puppies a strong foundation whether they’re headed to a family, a sport home, or working roles like protection, herding, or service work. She’s upfront with buyers about the breed’s high energy and exercise needs, making sure people know what they’re taking on before committing, and she stays available long-term to support owners as their dog grows. That mix of breed knowledge, ethical practices, and follow-through is what makes her stand out.

I enjoyed dealing with Amber with respect to my search for a good dog. I found my furry soon to be friend on Amber's good dog page. Amber made the process easy and transparent. My Belgian is now 10 months old and he is exactly how he was described as affectionate and level headed . Love the dog and he is awesome. Thanks Amber for all you do.

As a former K-9 handler, I give my highest recommendation to KVR Kennels. I was thoroughly impressed with Kaizen Von Ruach Kennels and the outstanding service provided by Amber, Erin, and Brianna. From my very first inquiry through the delivery of Diesel, all three ladies went above and beyond to ensure the entire process was smooth and professional. They kept me informed every step of the way with videos, text messages, and phone calls, making me feel confident and comfortable throughout the process. Erin and Amber patiently answered every question I had and made the transportation and delivery of Diesel completely seamless. When Diesel arrived, Brianna took additional time to walk me through several of his commands and explain his training, ensuring I understood how to continue working with him successfully. That extra level of care and commitment speaks volumes about the pride they take in their dogs and their customers. Diesel exceeded my expectations. He is a well-trained, confident, and exceptional working dog, and it is obvious that KVR Kennels is dedicated to producing high-quality K-9s while providing unmatched customer service. I would not hesitate to recommend KVR Kennels to anyone looking for a professionally trained working dog. Their integrity, communication, and commitment to excellence make them one of the finest kennels I have had the pleasure of working with. Sincerely, Chris McKnight Former K-9 Handler
