I'm Julia B., the breeder behind Kalahari Leonbergers located in Dallas, TX. Our dogs excel in the ring and as beloved companions. We breed carefully-planned litters on occasion, incorporating some of the best dogs from around the world, with the goal of producing healthy, good-tempered, structurally correct Leonbergers.
Q. & A. with Julia
Why did you start breeding?
We breed on occasion in order to ensure adequate socialization and individual attention for each puppy. Breeding Leonbergers is strictly a hobby for us, done with the sole intention of producing healthy, good-tempered, structurally correct dogs who will hopefully go on to provide their new owners with as much love and companionship as our dogs have given us.
What makes your program special?
Over the past 20 years, we have developed strong relationships with some of the best Leonberger breeders around the world and purposefully incorporate their dogs into our breeding program to ensure the dogs we produce are sound and meet the Leonberger breed standard.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
