I'm Courtney M., the breeder behind Karma Kennels located in Warwick, RI. We are dedicated to raising the bar for thoughtful breeding with optimal health in mind. We do our best to produce puppies that have the best chance at living long, happy, and healthy lives as your best friend!

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I purchased my first show dog in 2016 and instantly fell in love with the breed. My goal is to produce dogs as close to the breed standard as possible that are capable of being amazing companions, show champions and strong working dogs.

  • What makes your program special?

    Our puppies are raised using Puppy Culture Training Protocols by Courtney who specializes in puppy development.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies include stock and long coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include sable, black, bi-color, black and red, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $2,500 - $3,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Temperament Test

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • DNA Disease Panel, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

    Courtney is a wonderful breeder and person! She has always been responsive to me. We met up a bunch of time at shows and she helped me even show my pup! She’s always a text away for dog advice and recommendations despite her being insanely busy. The amount of compliments I get of my dog about his appearance and temperament is crazy. Everywhere I go they ask me where I got him from. I do believe Karma Kennels breeds very well rounded dogs. Courtney matched me with my perfect dog.     Courtney is beyond AMAZING! She was very attentive when I was first inquiring about the puppy. She also set up a payment plan for me because I needed to pay that way which was really amazing! She communicated with me the entire 8 weeks until the puppy was ready to come home. The puppy is amazing was very healthy and her temperament is impeccable! Also the puppy is 100% purebred. She has a huge facility where the dogs are and they have amazing setup the mom is very comfortable and Courtney is extremely passionate about her dogs! You can follow her on social media and see her actually laying with her pregnant moms and loving them until the puppies are born! And how her and her staff love and take care of the puppies is amazing and you can also watch that on her social media! She is so compassionate and caring! Also she has a puppy parent group where she likes to see the puppies grow and see them in their lives she actually cares who she sells her puppies to and cares how the puppies live after they leave her! She even has boarding and training options with reduced fees for you and your puppy as well. I HIGHLY recommend anyone looking for a German Shepherd buy from her! If you’re out of state she will even help with that as well! All the staff she has working for her are also amazing! 1,000,000/10 💕
