I'm Kathy J L., the breeder behind Kathy's Doodles located in Indiana, PA. Every puppy we raise is adored as part of our family from birth. Our puppies will complete your home, your family, and your heart! Why did you start breeding?
I wanted my retirement to be something that involved my passion, dogs. I started with the plan to have a dog retreat (not a kennel) and was looking online for information. I came upon a breeder named Jeanette Forrey and I ordered her book. It was so inspiring what she has accomplished and is accomplishing for the betterment of dogs/puppies I wanted to be part of that, to share the love of a dog!What makes your program special?
I follow all the updated protocols and procedures recommended by the leaders in the field. My puppies are raised in my home with their mom and me. I start from day 3 giving them stimulation and curriculum so that they are well equipped to go to their new homes. I offer a lifelong resource for my clients, sharing with them my knowledge for any challenges they may encounter.What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Getting a puppy from Kathy J
Kathy J has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Kathy J partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 7 weeks old.
"I will be assessing my puppies as they grow, I work through their curriculum myself so I learn about their individual temperament, I make recommendations to families which puppy I think will fit them best. It's important to match puppies where they can be allowed to grow into their best selves. I temperament test them at 7 weeks to help in these decisions. "

"Varies by litter and or gender. This price includes genetic testing, micro chip, deworming (as needed), and vaccinations due before or time of homing."

Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered), Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
