Many on-line adoption stories begin with a loss. In our case, it was two losses...16 days apart! We're a couple in our 70's, so many beloved dogs have passed thru our lives. But our pair of Cavaliers, Chauncey & Scarlett, were, we agreed, the best...except for the fact Cavaliers are renowned for their health issues. Then 3 years ago, we added another Cavalier his breeder asked us to take at 14 months. Pippin was beyond a "runt", was 4 oz. at birth and his entire life had been a struggle, with physical problems and a failed adoption attempt, leaving emotional scars, too. Chauncey & Scarlett immediately set about "parenting" him and Pippin was totally dependent upon them. We'd almost expected to lose Scarlett, who almost died at 4, and we'd fought to keep her alive the final 4 years of her life. It was, nonetheless, heart-wrenching when it happened. The "boys" were constantly searching for her. Chauncey had a slight murmur and "slightly enlarged" heart, which were constantly watched. In fact, he was at the vet the afternoon before he died in emergency of heart failure at 3:30 a.m. This was simply unbearable for us, and Pippin. We would have waited, maybe forever, to consider another dog...but for Pippin, who was visibly wasting away. Thank goodness for Armen of Kid's Best Doodle!! We didn't know how a Goldendoodle would "fit", yet he explained how his dogs are bred for stability and exposed to so many situations. Tulip, now Paisley, a Mini-, was adorable and sized for Pippin...but we had so many questions. I could feel Armen's knowledge and love for his dogs when he spoke. He could see we would be the perfect home for her, and she for us. He offers his Matching service and so many seem to be grateful for that; I know we are. I took hours of his time and he didn't seem to mind, just had enthusiasm for this match. Paisley is SO well balanced, so sweet, scary intelligent and energetic, and fit in within 2 hours! Both dogs fell asleep, curled up against me and each other on the sofa, the first night home! We've had her 11 days now and fall asleep each night, wondering at how much she learned today! She's brought our first happy moments of the past month+. It was after we'd committed to Paisley that I clicked for full information on her parents. I was astounded at the DNA info provided, and the extensive health testing, including results! He cares! Armen was a pure pleasure to deal with throughout this process and a continuing resource. I cannot recommend him and his wonderful Doodles too highly!

A few months ago, or 5yr old dog Louie had cluster seizures and died. We were heartbroken. And we felt terrible for his best friend, our 8yr old Goldendoodle Desi. He seemed sad and lonely. We waited a few months to mourn. Then we started looking. We made a list of criteria. Full size male, red color etc. Then last Friday my daughter was searching Good Dog, and found our dog. The pictures drew us in. We contacted Armen, the breeder and by Sunday afternoon we were driving to Newport to pick him up! We are serious dog people. Our family loves our dogs like children. We take them everywhere we can and love them to the max. Armen made this the best adoption experience we have ever had. We had a video visit. What a great guy. We agreed on the dog on Saturday morning. Armen walked us through the paperwork and scheduled a meet-up on Newport Beach, about an hour north of us. Stef meet us and had the puppy and a bag of supplies like food, a collapsible water dish, pee pads,a toy etc. So kind. It's only been a few days since we brought Buddy home, but it feels like he's been here longer. I also have to commend Armen's training. He told us Buddy was pad trained, but he has been doing his business outside with a few exceptions. We are so happy with this experience that I highly recommend Good Dog and Kids Doodles.
