Meet the breeder

I'm Alison C., the breeder behind Kimberlite located in California. Our dogs excel in performance & do well in the ring but most importantly they are beloved companions. We work a lot with our puppies, we start training & socialization to help them adjust well to wonderful, loving homes, providing outlets for their natural instincts climbing, digging, barking etc.

Q. & A. with Alison

  • Why did you start breeding?

We both had amazing Jacks touch our lives before we got our Inja. We realize how important it is to Jacks to be an integral part of your live All our dogs are raised in our bedroom, and handled daily , we do not have a kennel , our dogs live in the house We try to give both our dogs and pups the best lives. We just love these amazing dogs! We look forward to helping you find the perfect JRT! We have not use Good dog very long , they are taking a share of the cost of the pups
  • What makes your program special?

The pups first 2-3 weeks are spent in our quiet bedroom with limited daily stimulation to allow their nervous systems begin to develop , we start with ENS (Early Neurological Stimulation) at 3 days, and as their ears and eyes open we provide them with challenges & interactive toys designed to optimize their physical, psychological, and emotional well-being. We start Puppy culture protocols At 3 weeks we start supervised time outdoors to begin potty training and learning new things and they socialized with our dogs We put many hours of love & training into each puppy They get exposure to cats, and farm animals. All puppies start crate training, and they begin to learn obedience commands We keep puppies until they are between 10 - 12 weeks old to provide optimal early socialization with other dogs, animals, people, car rides, trips to see and hear city sounds and noises. All puppies are wormed , their first DAPP shot and we send their health record, and temperament test Since Good dog is taking a share of the cost of the pups we have had to raise our prices have gone up We are sorry for this
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include tri-color, white, black and white, and tan and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Our family adopted a puppy from Alison at Kimberlite right before the holidays. Alison cares so much about her pups which is reflected in the amount of background research she does to make sure the puppy's are going to an appropriate home. Her puppies are on the way to being potty trained, are socially adjusted with humans and other dogs and already have some basic training skills. The puppy we adopted has been the most amazing addition to our family. He loves people and is eager to meet fellow dogs for new friends. We highly recommend Alison & Kimberlite farms to anyone who is considering adopting a Jack Russel Terrier.

Alison was incredibly knowledgable as both a 30 year JRT breeder as well as a lover of the breed. She takes the time to get to know perspective clients and is very thorough in how she raises her pups and dogs. We received our male JRT at 11.5 weeks and he was well socialized and the potty training had begun. Alison made sure we had all of his feeding information, vet & immunization schedule, pedigree and contract. We flew in from out of state, so she met us at the airport with our baby boy and he traveled like a champ. She makes certain all questions are answered and encourages open communication at all times. Breeding skills aside, she raises her pups in her house - they are part of her family's life. These puppies are just incredibly special; as is Alison. Thank you 😍

It was wonderful to work with Alison from Kimberlite. I lost my beloved JRT 4 months ago. JRT has always a special place in my world. I had 2 JRT before. I saw Alfie in January again and decided to request info. Alison got back to me right away. While I was answering her very very long questionaries, I realized I was ready to welcome another pup into my life my world. Since we are close location wise, Alison brought Alfie and his doggie mommy to visit me. I believe it was love from first sight. Alison provided a lot of information to help new parents to prepare for the puppy and what to do. Last time I had a JRT puppy was 17 years ago. From a senior household to a puppy, it’s a completely different energy. The information she provided is really helpful. I’d like to thank Alison to give those supports for her pups’ transition. One thing I really impressed from her is she waited until Alfie settled done to my lap to leave my house. She really cares about her JRTs and their puppies and made sure her pups go to a good home.

Alison helped us get the puppies we always wanted. From the time they were born it was like were there watching them grow. We couldn’t wait for the next pictures or videos. The instructions, articles and videos were very helpful in getting ready for this breed. She is very knowledgeable about this breed and prepared us for when we were getting the puppies. Health records were so helpful when we took them to vet. Nice we were able to meet Alison when she brought the puppies to us. We cannot thank her enough for our babies.
