Meet the breeder

I'm Cynthia E., the breeder behind Kingdom of Longears located in Stilwell, OK. The hounds and I strive to provide quality AKC puppies that conform to the Standard of Perfection, are healthy, intelligent with loving personalities. Our pups are fully vetted for their age, microchipped and early training has been started. I am available anytime for your questions or concerns.

Q. & A. with Cynthia

  • Why did you start breeding?

I feel everyone should be owned by a Basset Hound. My youngest son was involved in raising and showing rabbits as a child. The genetics involved in breeding them fascinated me. Retirement was approaching and I finally would have the time to transfer that fascination to Basset Hounds. It justified having a whole pack of my own Longears! So here the pack and I are, sharing the love with you!
  • What makes your program special?

My adult dogs have excellent temperaments and in turn have birthed amazing puppies. A number of our pups have become Service Dogs. Several have become companions for Veterans and others suffering from PTSD. One is in training for the Canines for Christ program. One has become a Library Companion for young readers. The hounds and I only want to provide you a great Puppy Love experience.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black white and brown, red and white, and black brown and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Cynthia

Cynthia has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Cynthia partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“We strive to make sure each pup goes to the best family for it. We inquire with each family about what type of activities and temperament they are looking for in a pup. In some cases, if it is to be an emotional support pup, we make arrangements for them to meet the pups so the pup can also choose. ”

Price

Puppy prices include a $100 non-refundable deposit and between $1,400 - $1,900 final payment, before taxes & fees.
Pay over time with Klarna.

“The price is for a puppy that is qualified to be fully registered with AKC. The puppy is microchipped. I recommend it be enrolled in AKC Reunite. Vet care is up to date. The deposit confirms the puppy of your choice will be held for you. It confirms that serious thought has been given to owning a puppy and your intent is to follow through on adding the puppy to your family.”

We are so happy with Cynthia and the way she handled the whole process fast, smooth and very organized! Our pup is the sweetest thing in the world and to make things even better she came with previous and noticeable training. The pup is also healthy and just thriving with us in her new environment and has become the center of attention everywhere we take her. Cynthia was very kind to meet my boyfriend at a meeting point so that it could be easy for him to pick her up on his way from Iowa-Oklahoma-New Mexico. We are happy with our decision of choosing a kingdom of Longears and Cynthia and we would recommend to anyone interested in getting a Basset Hound. Our pup also received many treats, leashes, bowls, toys, ect that help us understand that she was loved and cared for with Cynthia.❤️

I do not know where to start but Cynthia is by far the best breeder I have her had the pleasure to work with. She is very professional and shows she cares for these animals beyond what profit they could make. She is a fast responder and goes out of her way to meet at a location that is best for both parties. Me and my girlfriend got a 12 week old basset male (named him Winston) and he is the sweetest boy he loves to cuddle and is great around people already! He is in perfect health Cynthia took care in selecting which parents to breed he has no issues at all! He is chipped which is amazing. When we picked him up the 3 folders we received showed all his genetic make up from his parents and grandparents both sides and tested for any diseases. Then a booklet of his litter pictures with his parents grandparents etc it’s the cutest! We also received a harness leash multiple bags of food treats his litter blanket and a teddy bear with his baby collar and many more nic nacs. She was very informative on the best way to take care of Winston how he likes to be held what he likes to play with etc From the beginning I knew that this litter was raised with love not to be bred and then thrown into cages to be sold. We have had Winston for 4 days now and I can tell Cynthia already did a great job in training he listens to me follows me to go to the bathroom outside then sits next to me when he’s done and comes right back inside! He loves hard boiled eggs (not giving him too many) he goes crazy when he sees the fridge open. If there was another one of his brothers or sister available I would pick them up but Cynthia has a good heart and is saving them for a young boy/girl in need of a long eared friend! Thank you for everything Winston is being loved and cared for for the rest of his long and healthy life!
