



I'm Edward K., the breeder behind Kominek Afghan Hounds located in Limestone, TN. Breeding Afghan Hounds since 2011, in the breed for 25 years, we strive to produce functional Afghan Hounds which can do well on the lure coursing field and succeed in the ring.

About Rosie
Rosie is an AKC Dual Champion and ASFA Field Champion who has won the AHCA National Specialty twice. Rosie is sweet, super stable and a mix of American and Australian conformation lines and American hunting lines.
Excellent level

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA), Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
