Q. & A. with Tim

  • Why did you start breeding?

The Krafthaus family tradition of dog breeding and training began in the early 1940's. Located in Wood County, West Virginia on a 40 acre facility named Sunnyhill Farm. The family farm was well known for highly trained beagles for competition field trials. Some of the top dogs in the field were bred, sold, and distributed throughout the world to avid beagle club field trial members and hunters.
  • What makes your program special?

A top field trial beagle of all time Rocky was born raised and trained at Sunnyhill For 14 years Rocky a lead dog and sire to hundreds of winning field trial puppies and family hunting dogs. From there, the kennels grew to include bloodhounds. Sunnyhill produced some of the top dogs in their field for law enforcement tracking and cadaver work. As generations changed, so have the champion dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies have stock coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include sable, black, and bi-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
