Meet the breeder

I'm julie s., the breeder behind La Rive Pyr Sheps LLC located in Ripley, OH. We breed fully health-tested Pyrenean Shepherds who are beautiful representatives of the standard. We look forward to connecting! Our dogs are well socialized, healthy, and beautiful representatives of the breed. We produce very few litters and carefully select the appropriate home for each puppy or retired adult dog. We follow the Breeder's Code of Ethics and guarantee each dog to be as represented.

Q. & A. with julie

  • Why did you start breeding?

We decided to start a breeding program because of our passion for these dogs. We have loved the entire process and are so glad to be able to provide other families and individuals with Pyrenean Shepherds that will bring tons of love and joy into their lives.
  • What makes your program special?

We are diligent about health and temperament. All our dogs are fully health tested and the results are public on the OFA website. We only normally only produce one litter per year, and only when we are interested in keeping one ourselves. Our Pyr Sheps are known for outstanding temperaments and beautiful breed type.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include slate gray, gray, fawn merle, fawn, brindle, blue merle, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
