Meet the breeder

I'm Rose L., the breeder behind Lady Mae Bassets located in Lebanon, OH. Every puppy we raise is adored as part of our family from birth. Our puppies will complete your home, your family, and your heart! We strive to produce healthy, intelligent puppies that are able to integrate comfortably into a variety of age groups, households, and lifestyles.

Q. & A. with Rose

  • Why did you start breeding?

My aunt and Uncle, Doberman breeders, has been my mentor, guiding me in my journey. After my first litter of Basset Hounds, the heartwarming stories from families who adopted them were incredible. Knowing I helped strengthen their families for good inspired me to keep sharing the love of Bassets through Lady Mea Bassets.
  • What makes your program special?

Lady Mea Bassets stands out for its commitment to quality and care. We focus on breeding healthy, calm Basset Hounds with classic traits— long ears, and gentle Goofy personalities. We prioritize genetics and health screenings, ensuring robust pups. Stories like a shy girl thriving with one of pups drive my mission to create life-changing companions, not just pets.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include red and white, blue tan and white, lemon and white, mahogany and white, and black and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and guardian homes.

We are so in love with our Lilly . We had our first vet appt. and the Vet was very impressed with your letter. As an FYI, Lilly did test positive for Giarcia and has been put on a 5 day liquid medicine
