I'm Marilyn F., the breeder behind Lava Run Kennels located in Antlers, OK. I’m a small-scale breeder of adorable, well-bred Catahoula Leopard Dog and Australian Shepherd puppies. I love what I do and strive to produce the best puppies for my buyers. I breed with a focus on health above all, and I genetically test my dogs so I can be sure they will pass on good genes to their puppies.

Why did you start breeding?
My dogs have proven to be wonderful companions in my life. As I learned more about responsible breeding practices, I wanted to do my part to produce healthy, well-bred puppies. It has been an incredible experience!What makes your program special?

PawPrint Genetic Panel (Breed Specific), Hereditary (Juvenile) Cataracts (HC; JC), Multiple Drug Sensitivity (MDR1), PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
