I'm Donna P., the breeder behind Lazy Daisy Basset Hounds located in Tonkawa, OK. Lazy Daisy is a small kennel comprising of 3 adult females - Flossie, Peaches and Boujee, my stud - Bullet, plus my 6 month old puppy - Lolly. It probably can go without saying that my dogs are my pets and are loved on and spoiled by myself and my 8 grandchildren who frequently visit. When the Bassets are not hanging out in the backyard, they are relaxing in comfort in their climate controlled "dog room." Besides getting lots of socialization and attention they are provided with top notch health care.

Why did you start breeding?
My son purchased a Basset Hound puppy which turned out to be bad timing because he and my daughter also had a newborn baby at the time. I eagerly volunteered to keep the puppy and I'm sure you can guess how that turned out - I fell in love with the puppy and they never got him back! I developed a love for the breed and that was the beginning of Lazy Daisy Basset Hounds!What makes your program special?
Being a small kennel, my dogs receive the ultimate in care and attention. Besides having a shady backyard to play in, they also have their own climate controlled "dog room" complete with a whelping area and cameras. My puppies are always vet checked, vaccinated and dewormed before being adopted.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are black brown and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

“The price includes AKC registration, a vet check, first round of vaccinations, deworming, and lots of socialization. Buyers can choose a specific puppy and apply their deposit towards the purchase of that puppy.”
