Why did you start breeding?
We fell in love with the Leonberger breed & felt it was our destiny to get involved for the betterment of this breed. We are dedicated to an unwavering commitment, support, & guidance from the very beginning of your puppy purchase, through every step of your puppy journey. We're happy to provide our Leo families with support, advice & guidance throughout the duration of your puppy's life.What makes your program special?
We import from overseas maintaining genetic diversity, resulting in litters with a very low coefficient of Inbreeding here at Harris Acres. We're well below typical Leonberger averages of 30% based on WILD. Our pups are handled w/TLC from the very moment of birth. They feel a human bond B/4 they ever open their eyes or hear. Once eyes & ears see & hear, they connect & we build on that connection.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include yellow, red, sandy, and reddish brown. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Getting a puppy from Robert
Robert has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
Robert partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 7 weeks old.

Price
“Health guarantee, vaccines, deworming, microchip & vet check. The deposit secures your place on our waitlist and is deducted from the price of your puppy. The balance is due prior to the release of the puppy.”

This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
