I'm the breeder behind Lighthouse Lapphunds and Leos by the Sea located in Harwich, MA. We love to responsibly raise and train our puppies so they have the tools to be well-rounded, beloved family members. Over the years we’ve learned valuable methods for socializing our puppies. Each litter has a clean and safe environment to learn and grow so they have the best chance of becoming amazing family members! Brian and I are retired and devote ourselves full time to this and love it.

Ringo, dad
Finnish Lapphund
About Ringo
Ringo, GCH Rhinestone Cowboy, is a big male, very proud. Loves to show, has produced 2 litters with 3 champions so far. He loves children and all activities and has OFA good hips, normal elbows and patella, and cardiac cleared with clear genetic testing and certified eyes. Just a magnificent male.
Snowbelle, mom
Finnish Lapphund
About Snowbelle
Snowbelle is a female Finnish Lapphund. Carefully selected as a great representative of her breed, Mary decided to make her part of their program. Mary has passed Good Dog’s screening process, which involved a review of their breeding practices, environment, and the mental and physical health of their dogs.
Tally, mom
Finnish Lapphund
About Tally
Tally is one of our lovely French imports. She is a classic brown with cream markings and is a good sized girl at 46 pounds. She easily achieved her championship in the AKC at 10 months old and is temperament tested, Canine Good Citizen and is known particularly for her love of all other dogs, cats and small children in particular. Best temperament ever, loving and calm yet intelligent.
Triscuit, mom
Finnish Lapphund
About Triscuit
Triscuit is one of two sisters we imported from France. Tally is her sister. Best trip I ever made. They are exceptionally health and very sweet and wonderful companions, good with kids, people, dogs and cats. Tally is a Champion but Triscuit is a home body, and hated the shows. Good therapy dog instead. Again, different genetic lines than those in the USA which translates to longevity and better health in most cases.
Good health testing
Glycogen Storage Disease Ia, OFA Auscultation, Cardiologist, +5 more.
Ikea, dad
Finnish Lapphund
About Ikea
Ikea is our swedish import. His father has been deceased for at least 12 years and this was the last of the semen. Only one of his parentage in the US, a rare genetic heritage of long life and health. He is large and very active. Excellent temperament. He lives in an upstate NY home where they run a small doggie daycare and Ikea is the official greeter of every person and every dog that comes. He has never met one he doesnt like. Also adores the horses on site and the chickens and even an old blind rabbit that he likes to chill with and perhaps guard.
Cocoapuff, mom
Finnish Lapphund
About Cocoapuff
Cocoapuff is out of our top winning conformation, obedience, rally, trick and agility winning foundation bitch, Rowan (Bearspaw Kettukarkki o' the Sea) and Grand Champion Peikkovuoren Kenraali Karpalo (Teddi). She is a rare total brown, or Karkki, and a beauty. Great mother and personality. Her breeding with Ikea has one of the lowest coefficients (inbreeding) I have ever seen, less than 0.39 in ten generations.

Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
DNA Disease Panel, PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd)
