I'm Mary D., the breeder behind Lighthouse Lapphunds and Leos by the Sea located in Harwich, MA. We love to responsibly raise and train our puppies so they have the tools to be well-rounded, beloved family members. Over the years we’ve learned valuable methods for socializing our puppies. Each litter has a clean and safe environment to learn and grow so they have the best chance of becoming amazing family members! Brian and I are retired and devote ourselves full time to this and love it.

About Tally
Tally is one of our lovely French imports. She is a classic brown with cream markings and is a good sized girl at 46 pounds. She easily achieved her championship in the AKC at 10 months old and is temperament tested, Canine Good Citizen and is known particularly for her love of all other dogs, cats and small children in particular. Best temperament ever, loving and calm yet intelligent. This is her second and last litter. Her first litter of 6 pups, now 15 months old, and not a single issue with any and the happiest homes. She is a great mother and a great pet for show or companionship. And has a large number of gorgeous colored pups

About Emme
I cannot select the rightcolors on a limited menu here. Emme is a classic black tri, a black with lovely caramel brown and white markings. Tobey, the sire, is a black bear , term used in scandinavia, for a black tri again but who carries different colors like a wolf sable. Emme is a grand champion with excellent hips and health testing. This is our second and last litter for this showgirl. Emme was Select at Westminster and Best of Opposite Sex twice at regional specialties. Her temperament is superb, as are her manners. Sweetest girl ever.

About Ringo
Ringo, GCH Rhinestone Cowboy, is a big male, very proud. Loves to show, has produced 2 litters with 3 champions so far. He loves children and all activities and has OFA good hips, normal elbows and patella, and cardiac cleared with clear genetic testing and certified eyes. Just a magnificent male.

About Snowbelle

Mary has passed Good Dog’s screening process, which involved a review of their breeding practices, environment, and the mental and physical health of their dogs.

About Triscuit
Triscuit is one of two sisters we imported from France. Tally is her sister. Best trip I ever made. They are exceptionally health and very sweet and wonderful companions, good with kids, people, dogs and cats. Tally is a Champion but Triscuit is a home body, and hated the shows. Good therapy dog instead. Again, different genetic lines than those in the USA which translates to longevity and better health in most cases.

About Ikea
Ikea is our swedish import. His father has been deceased for at least 12 years and this was the last of the semen. Only one of his parentage in the US, a rare genetic heritage of long life and health. He is large and very active. Excellent temperament. He lives in an upstate NY home where they run a small doggie daycare and Ikea is the official greeter of every person and every dog that comes. He has never met one he doesnt like. Also adores the horses on site and the chickens and even an old blind rabbit that he likes to chill with and perhaps guard.

About Cocoapuff
Cocoapuff is out of our top winning conformation, obedience, rally, trick and agility winning foundation bitch, Rowan (Bearspaw Kettukarkki o' the Sea) and Grand Champion Peikkovuoren Kenraali Karpalo (Teddi). She is a rare total brown, or Karkki, and a beauty. Great mother and personality. Her breeding with Ikea has one of the lowest coefficients (inbreeding) I have ever seen, less than 0.39 in ten generations.
