Lionheart Doodles

Andrea L.

Breeder of Double Doodles

Meet the breeder

I'm Andrea L., the breeder behind Lionheart Doodles located in Portland, OR. We started as a dream to provide animal therapy to children in the foster system. As the pack grew, we were able to breed doodle pups that are ideal companions for individuals and families across the PNW and beyond. We breed healthy dogs that have demonstrated intelligence, friendliness and empathy!

Q. & A. with Andrea

  • Why did you start breeding?

Breeding wasn't on my radar until I brought home my first doodle. She was transformative for me, and the kids in my care - who come from trauma backgrounds - connect with her was profound. I wanted to multiply this gift. From the start, my aim has been to intentionally produce puppies with excellent temperaments, genetic health, and readiness to become reliable workers and incredible companions.
  • What makes your program special?

We are unique to many breeding programs because we have a hands-on curriculum from the time puppies are three days old. We walk them through early development, confidence building, and temperament testing. We do this to make sure the puppies not only have their best start at life, but are well-matched with their families. Lionheart pups and their families have access to us & support for life.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and guardian homes.
