I'm Lisa D., the breeder behind Lisa Duchesneau located in Warwick, RI. We produce top-quality German Shepherd puppies. My dogs are bred for temperament, health, and trainability.
Q. & A. with Lisa
Why did you start breeding?
Eleven years ago we lost our German Shepherd to a spleen tumor and my father was lost without his girl. So I went nuts looking for a puppy, found a breeder. The puppies smelled, were dirty but we still picked our girl. For two years things were great and then her health went downhill from there. I decided I wanted to breed healthy dogs so someone else didn’t go through what we did.
What makes your program special?
My dogs live as part of my family and are family dogs before breeding dogs. I breed for the pleasure of making families happy. I only have one breeding pair. Down the line, I’d like to expand a little bit but only to the point, I can physically manage. Where they can still live as part of my family and all get individual attention.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
