I'm Melissa C., the breeder behind Lively Acres Anatolians located in Kemp, TX. I was drawn to Anatolian Shepherds because they have such a unique combination of being gentle while also being naturally protective and capable guardians. My goal is to raise healthy, well-socialized puppies that grow into confident, well-rounded family and farm dogs.

Why did you start breeding?
We were drawn to Anatolian Shepherds for their long history as working dogs, natural protective instincts, and loyal family temperament. We wanted to preserve the qualities and bloodlines that make this breed so special.What makes your program special?
Our puppies are raised in our home with lots of love, hands-on care, and attention to detail. We make the most of every week to expose them to new experiences and help develop confident, well-rounded dogs suited for their future family or farm. Our puppies also learn alongside their parents, observing and developing the natural behaviors and skills of working Anatolian Shepherds.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include fawn, gray fawn, and brindle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

“The price includes guarantee, AKC registration, 1st round of vaccines, deworming, early neurological stimulation completed and puppy socialization. . Our puppies are all priced the same regardless of sex, color, or markings. A deposit reserves your puppy and is applied toward the total purchase price.”

About Dolly
Dolly is a smart, alert, and attentive guardian. She is an excellent mother and very comfortable around children. She is great at alerting us to unusual activity and patrols throughout the night. Dolly enjoys spending time with our chickens, loves attention, but is also happy relaxing outside in the sun. She follows commands and was even a wonderful inside dog while raising her puppies in our home.

About Rex
Rex has a calm, independent demeanor but becomes highly alert when he sees a predator near our chickens. He is a natural guardian and has protected our land from skunks, raccoons, snakes, and other predators. He loves the water and enjoys attention, but is also very independent. Rex is smart, follows commands, walks well on a leash, and has always been gentle with our family and children.
