I'm Daniel Taylor J., the breeder behind LM German Shepherd Dogs located in Montalba, TX. We are a small family owned business (Daniel Taylor, Lori Taylor Martinez, Juanita Petrik, and children Ellie Mae and Levi) in-home breeding program where we prioritize giving each dog and puppy the best care that we can. Pups are Embark tested prior to going to new homes. All pups that are still in my care after 4 months have a Penn Hip exam, started on heart preventative, and updated on all shots.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    My mother started breeding German Shepherds and when I was on my own I started testing my Shepherds hips and elbows and started a breeding program.

  • What makes your program special?

    I enjoy raising health quality puppies and socializing and training them until they are rehomed.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies include long, stock, and plush coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include sable, black, black and tan, bi-color, and blue. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Getting a puppy from Daniel Taylor

Daniel Taylor has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Daniel Taylor partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price

Puppy prices include a $300 non-refundable deposit and between $1,200 - $4,700 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The $1500 price includes regular worming, puppy registration papers, first puppy shots, micro chip, and puppy guarantee. Price increases as training increases and pups become older. $5000 price includes above plus pen-hip pass at 4 months or older and DNA testing for DM and other diseases. (breeding quality dog). All pups are DNA breed tested through Embark, micro-chipped, started on crate and leash training, applicable shots based on age and may even have Penn hip rating and additional basic obedience depending on age. Introduced to ENS, ESI, and surface stimulations. Any pups retained over a week of down payment will have a boarding fee charge.”

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Canine Good Citizen (CGC)

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • DNA Profile, Multiple Drug Sensitivity (MDR1), Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A)

    I just wanted to share my story & experience with Mrs Juanita & Mr. Daniel ! I have had the honor to work with this incredible family & breeder. I have never used the good dog app before & my experience has been so wonderful. I wanted to share my experience, I come from a medical background in my work & I love the benefits of German shepherds!!! ( especially for emotional support dogs)I was able to work closely with this family to select a “FurBaby” GSP, to be my buddy and also my own emotional support pup . From the beginning, Mrs Juanita & Daniel spoke to me on the phone & I was able to share my story of of Getting German Shepherd puppy to help with my anxiety. I have always loved GSP and I fell in love with one of their blue male pups! Mrs Juanita shared with me her compassionate knowledge & incredible process of the love & care given to every puppy & GSD. I got photos & updates every few days !!! I can’t even begin to share how much truly professional & dedication they offer to there pups! From personality, to a caring for each pup’s vet needs! I have to say I’m blown away !!! This family went above and beyond to include testing for each pup’s physical health!! This family sincerely gave every pup & GSD their love and care ! From food tips to , ways that a puppy can learn to bond to their new homes!!!! I was given little videos of all the pups & it was incredible. I had come from a difficult place in my life, and Ms Juanita & family helped encourage me in ways to help my puppy become a support dog& best friend.     Ms Patrick was so wonderful to work with!! She sent me weekly pictures and videos of our sweet girl, answered all the questions I had with so much detail, and provided and explained information I wouldn’t have even known to ask! She is extremely knowledgable about the breed! She also sent me with a folder filled with all the information specific to my puppy as well as a blanket, towel, and a gallon bag of food for her. Her puppies are so beautiful and well cared for too. She even checked in with us when we got home to see how she was settling in and how our drive home went. We are so grateful!

    We worked with Juanita and it is clear she is very knowledgeable about German shepherds. She provided all her paperwork and current vet records, food, treats, towels, and a blanket with the scent of the mom and siblings for comfort. We picked up Annie (now called Jimmy) at 9 weeks and could tell she was extremely well cared for and adjusted. Juanita had already started training her and Jimmy was so calm the whole 3.5 hour ride home. She is settling in really well, and we're so excited to bring this little pup into our home.     Juanita Petrik knows German Shepard dogs well ..... She sold us a sable female pup over a year ago and we couldn't be more pleased with Rosie......
