Meet the breeder

I'm Margaret L., the breeder behind Locklan Kennel located in Tidewater, VA. I produce pups that will continue to excel in their chosen field, whether that be sports, show, or as a loving companion. I breed for health, temperament, conformation, and diversity. Norfolk Terriers also have a smaller gene pool, so I do all I can to expand it while keeping to the standard. I devote my time, energy, and efforts to each litter to ensure my puppies are properly trained, socialized, and ready to shine in their new homes.

Q. & A. with Margaret

  • Why did you start breeding?

I have always loved dogs and was excited to establish my breeding and competition program. I have enjoyed the journey, and I am a proud breeder with a focus on temperament and the overall mental and physical health of my puppies. I am passionate about matching happy, healthy puppies with loving families.
  • What makes your program special?

I am a professional handler of Pugs and Norfolk Terriers. I do not breed my dogs unless they are fully healthy and ready to produce excellent representations of their breed. I am dedicated to always having responsible policies when it comes to breeding, socializing, and training my pups. I love what I do and truly want the very best for my puppies and their forever families.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
