I'm Lois or Jesse A., the breeder behind Lois Allison located in Strasburg, OH. Our dogs are bred to have top qualities that all families want in their puppies, such as compassion, patience, and love! Our love for our dogs pushed us to begin breeding. We love to see the results of our efforts in the sweet, happy, and healthy puppies that we’re able to share with others.
Q. & A. with Lois or Jesse
Why did you start breeding?
Our friend introduced me to this wonderful dog and the breeder told me they need lots of shade. I had a creek and a woods therefore gardening hadn't been very successful. So we bought our 1st Bernese as a pet that we wanted to raise for breeding and we haven't been disappointed. 6 generations later we still have our original 2 lines!
What makes your program special?
We love the breed and socialize the puppies daily. we are doing early neurological stimulation now! We teach them to follow and potty outdoors before they go home. We keep air-conditioning in the puppy barn and both adults and puppies go inside and out at will. We love what we do. It is more work than we thought and more fun than we thought.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are black rust and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Lois was very communicative throughout the entire process. The delivery of our new family member, Bayley, was a huge help and very reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend Lois to anyone looking for a BMD.
