Meet the breeder

I'm Mandy L., the breeder behind Long Rotts & Long Haul Cresteds located in New Castle, PA. My Rottweiler lines are well suited for therapy work. Cresteds are well-balanced for all to love and enjoy. I breed for health, temperament, and the traditional standards. They are also genetic panel tested for breed associated tests. I sell my pups with contract only and genetic health guarantees. All Rottweilers that are used for breeding are JLPP tested, and OFA's at the correct age. I do offer stud services to females of merit.

Q. & A. with Mandy

  • Why did you start breeding?

My first rottweiler was what did it for me. She was breed standard and she was gentle. She took care of my young kids like they were her own. Before I bred her I researched her lines, as much as I could on the breed, and set 2 goals for myself. 1- the kind of breeder I wanted to be was honest and caring about all my pups even after they had gone home, and 2- I wanted my lines to be therapy based working lines. I wanted them to help people more then just in bite work. Took lots of ups and downs and many defeated days, but I always keep trying to stay on too of my goals.
  • What makes your program special?

The love I put into my pups while they are with me speaks volumes when they go home. The pups aren't in secluded rooms or even a garage. They are raised in my living room right in the middle of all our family life around kids and my other dogs. My goal is to keep every line healthy and health tested and I have several rottweilers out there who achieve the therapy goal and help their owners the ways I intended for them.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Mandy was great to work with and has a big heart for animals. In my opinion the best looking Chinese crested, of course im biased. Lol Mandy also communicated well and was willing to accommodate whatever worked best on pick up.

This whole experience was so nice. This breeder was sweet and easy to work with, and at the end of it we ended up with a sweet little girl who fit right into the family.
