Meet the breeder

I'm Brittney M., the breeder behind Madhouse’s Belgian Malinois and German Shepherds located in Briggs, TX. Our puppies are raised on a small, 10 acre hobby farm using ENS, ESI, and Puppy Culture methods. We strive to produce puppies that are safe and stable, with the ability to go from performing as a working dog to a family setting easily.

Q. & A. with Brittney

  • Why did you start breeding?

I found there to be a gap in well bred dogs who could work but could also enjoy life inside the house as a family member. I believe it’s important for dogs to have an off switch and be able to settle while not working. My hope is to produce healthy dogs who can do both. Every pairing I produce is done with the entire of producing safe, sane, stable puppies.
  • What makes your program special?

While many breed for over the top dogs, I breed for stability. Dogs I can trust around kids and grandparents. Dogs who can settle in home, without being pinned up in kennels. Dogs who can be a part of the family but still work when asked. Dogs who are safe. I’m proud to stand behind my dogs for their entire life.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

German Shepherd puppies include stock and long coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Belgian Malinois puppies include mahogany, red sable, fawn sable, and fawn. German Shepherd puppies include sable and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

working with Brittney was a pleasure. She was very responsive and we setup a time to come out and visit with the puppy. She really cares about her dogs and had a nice puppy go bag for Rockstar when I decided to take him home. Good Dog made the whole process of communicating with the breeder and pay the breeder stress free.

Brittney has been a wonderful partner and mentor since we first engaged in preparation of adopting our puppy. She always kept us up to date on the pregnancy. We have the BEST Belgian for our expectations /needs. Brittany really listened and chose the right pup for us. We love our princess.

I’m so glad I went to Britney. I love my “baby girl”. We’ve been all over the country together and she’s just eleven months old. She’s beautiful, smart as can be, and loyal to daddy. She’s also the sweetest little girl.

Brittney was very responsive and easy to communicate with and displayed a clear level of care for her dogs that is not always present with breeders. She certainly sets new owners up for success and a smooth transition. Saint has been exactly as advertised down to the name and I’m incredibly glad to have him.

After thoroughly researching a lot of Malinois breeders and talking to several, Brittney was the one I knew I wanted a puppy from. She checked off all my boxes for a truly ethical and truly responsible and regularly goes way above and beyond. Plus, she is also super personable and a great communicator, which really helps when you're anxiously waiting for your puppy Lol. Once she had a puppy available for me, she kept me in the loop regularly and was always very responsive to questions. I was nervous about pickup day, because I had to fly home with puppy, but everything went very smoothly; not least thanks to the crate training prep work Brittney had already done. My puppy is still brand new as I picked her up only 3 days ago. She is a sweet and spunky little thing who is settling in nicely. I'll obviously have to put in my part to turn her into the wonderful adventure buddy and training partner I'm envisioning her to be, but I know I can trust that she has a very low risk of genetic issues and Brittney gave her a great foundation I can build on from here on. I'm looking forward to seeing the little girl grow up, but I'm also going to enjoy her puppyhood in the meantime.
