I'm Elesha P., the breeder behind Mama’s Mastiffs located in Carthage, MO. Each litter has been meticulously planned with emphasis placed on temperament, health, conformation, and size. We strive for the whole package. We are dedicated to providing the highest quality mastiffs for our families, and have been since 2006.

Why did you start breeding?
I’ve always had dogs but I was never owned by one until my English Mastiffs. I fell in love with them when I was 22 and began researching the breed extensively. The more I learned the more I wanted to make it better and stronger.What makes your program special?
All of my gentle giants are raised in my home as part of my family with my family. They are all DNA health tested for CMR-1, DM, PRA-D, and Cystinuria 3. They are also, at minimum, OFA certified hips, elbows, patellas, and cardiac. They are fed a high-quality diet and get supplemented raw foods, bones, and treats. My dogs are my family more than a breeding program.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include apricot, fawn, and brindle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Litter update on 13 Oct •…My daughter showed them the rest of their yard today lol. They’re getting so big! As of today, teal-yellow-blue males are looking for their forever couches. Will be delivering to: Dallas, Texas 11/7 Kansas City, Missouri area 11/14 Transporter is delivering to: Florissant, Colorado 11/7-11/8 Always room for siblings to travel together!

Litter update on 04 Oct •…Happy Saturday! Babies are getting more and more used to outside. Today, they spent a couple hours out there having a blast. They played and napped and played some more. Grey and Burgundy males have given up their collars as well as all 3 girls but they’re pretty easy to tell apart now. Who is your favorite?

Litter update on 28 Sept •…We started potty training over the weekend, it took them 2 days to figure out the blanket is for sleeping and the grass is for pooping/peeing 😆 they’re doing so very good. They’re also weaned off the bottle feedings and are very into mush. They’re doing canned puppy food and formula right now and loving it. Keeping them on the milk for a bit longer. They’ll be 4 weeks on Wednesday so weather permitting they will get some outside time over the weekend. They are a sweet group of babies and they sure do like to be loved on

About Clyde
Clyde is bred by me, his parents as well as grandparents and great grandparents are all fully health tested and clear for DM, d-PRA, CMR and type 3 Cystinuria as well as passing hips and elbows with OFA and/or PennHip. He’s a tall fella with a lot of maturing to do still but I’m really excited about what he will bring to my program in the future. He’s a gorgeous apricot brindle with an amazing personality and demeanor.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Brucellosis
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Multifocal Retinopathy 1 (CMR1), Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), GenSol Diagnostics DNA Testing
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

+8Working with Elesha was a wonderful experience. She knows her puppies. I gave her a idea on traits that I would like my puppy to have. One was a lay back personality, Myself being a Senior I wanted a puppy that would love to play but also enjoyed laying on the couch. My pup will turn 1 yr old tomorrow February 15 th. She is amazing, keeps me laughing and loves cuddling in the morning while I have my coffee. She also loves to cuddle any time that I need it. Elesha made sure her puppies were healthy. I have a very healthy girl named Elizabeth Catherine AKA brownie .. I had a lot of questions even though I've had dogs since I was little, each breed is different. I picked Elesha as our breeder because it was evident she cares a lot about her dogs and puppies. Elesha kept us updated along the whole process and answered any questions or concerns we had.
