Meet the breeder

I'm Madison & Karen M., the breeder behind M.A.R. Dogs located in Humeston, IA. We are dedicated to providing the healthiest, smartest and well balanced Pomkies & Frenchies. I am a 4H dog instructor & also train my own in obedience, agility, rally & handling. My passion is for raising healthy well rounded dogs and match them with the perfect families is so important.

Q. & A. with Madison & Karen

  • Why did you start breeding?

It all started with my first Pomsky Holly which I fell in love with. She is incredible, smart, obedient and loves to learn new tricks. I have some great mentors that have been there since the beginning and answer every question I have. I love to show our Pomskies & have won many titles with them. I look forward to what the future holds and seeing many more people experience the love of Pomskies.
  • What makes your program special?

I think what sets my breeding program apart from others is that I work from home and do school online so I can devote all my attention to my pomskies and make sure they are being well socialized and have every opportunity to enjoy their life. I consider each and every new family part of my M.A.R. Pomsky family and I am here for as long as each family wants to me to be. We recently added Frenchies

“🐾 Maine Aim Ranch Dogs – Puppy Matching Policy At Maine Aim Ranch Dogs, we believe that placing a puppy is more than a transaction—it’s a lifelong commitment and a responsibility we take seriously. Each puppy is intentionally matched to a home based on temperament, lifestyle compatibility, and long-term success. 🏡 Our Approach to Matching We do not place puppies on a first-come, first-served basis. Instead, we carefully evaluate each approved home to determine the best fit for both the puppy and the family. Our goal is simple: the right puppy, in the right home, for the right reasons. ⸻ 🐶 What We Consider When Matching 1. Lifestyle & Daily Routine We look at how a puppy will realistically fit into your day-to-day life: • Work schedule and time at home • Activity level (active, moderate, relaxed) • Travel frequency 2. Experience with Dogs Whether you are a first-time owner or experienced, we match accordingly: • First-time owners may be paired with more easygoing, adaptable puppies • Experienced homes may be considered for higher-drive or more independent personalities 3. Home Environment We take into account: • House vs. apartment living to match a suitable pup • Fenced yard or open space • Presence of children or other pets 4. Temperament & Personality Each puppy has a unique personality, even within the same litter: • Confident vs. reserved • Independent vs. people-focused • High-energy vs. laid-back We spend weeks observing and working with our puppies so we can guide families honestly.”

Karen was so responsive to all my questions. She would reply always within a few hours. Usually quicker. She also took good care of my new puppy Tori. Tori was very socialized, and happy when he came to me. I would highly recommend her.

I got Kenny back in Sept 2025, he was the smallest in the litter. Karen is an amazing person to work with. As the day was getting closer to my pick up date, she was able to arrange another pomsky breeder who was coming up to MN to meet up with me for easier convenience. Kenny now as Morpheus is the best little guy ever. He settle in nicely and loves all the attention. He's now almost one and we love him so much. He gets away with almost everything. I would love to work with Karen and Madison again. Shout out to Kristie at Magnum Pomsky for bringing Kenny up!
